Oven Cooked Bacon
Want delicious bacon without the fuss of pan frying? Try oven cooked bacon for easier prep of this breakfast staple.
Bacon: a classic staple of an American breakfast.
Personally, I believe that pan-fried bacon is the best. However, one for reason or another, I don’t always have the time to stand by a griddle and fry up a batch. Sometimes, I don’t have the willpower to stand there and get spattered with hot grease or the desire to wipe down the countertops from grease spatter. Solution? Oven-cooked bacon.
I find oven cooked bacon to be nearly as delicious as pan fried bacon. What is minimally sacrificed in the taste category is far surpassed from the benefit of being free while it is cooking. (Did I mention that I despise being stung with hot bacon grease?)
Line a baking sheet with foil. Place the bacon on the sheet. Cook. Doesn’t get too much simpler than that!
Lining the pans with foil isn’t necessary, but by lining the pans with foil, you can make cleanup a breeze as well. Don’t overlap the foil on the pan. Make sure to create individual compartments so that the grease won’t run out between a seam. (Raise the edges up slightly on each side.) Reminder: do not put bacon grease down the drain unless you want to risk having to call a plumber due to solidified fat clogging the pipe.
