Easy Supreme Stromboli
Easy Supreme Stromboli is stuffed with ham, pepperoni, green pepper, onion, and cheese. Delicious! And it’s oh so easy to make.
Do you like pizza? If you do, you’ll love Easy Supreme Stromboli. This dish is like if you took a supreme pizza, rolled it up, and crisped up the outer layer. Quite tasty!
The recipe calls for turkey pepperoni but feel free to use your favorite kind. I personally prefer the taste of turkey pepperoni, and my daughter likes to eat the unused slices. I also normally use diced ham, but ham slices would work just as well.
Recipe Overview
Roll out the pizza crust and spoon on the sauce. Layer pepperoni, ham, green pepper, onion, and cheese. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning. Roll up and bake, then slice and serve.
How to Serve
We serve Easy Supreme Stromboli with extra pizza sauce for dipping along with a big bowl of salty potato chips. This dish would similarly go well with a cool, crisp salad.
FAQs & Tips
Tip #1: Don’t roll the dough too thin.
Beware of rolling the dough too thin. If you do, you might end up with your toppings (especially the onion and green pepper) poking out of the dough. I typically roll it out to 1/8″ to 1/4″ thick.
Tip #2: Beware of a soggy crust
In the past, I used to make this as a calzone-style dish (single layer of crust & ingredients with a layer of dough on top) rather than a stromboli-type dish (everything rolled up into a log). As a calzone, the bottom layer had a tendency to get soggy since the onion and green pepper release water during baking. As a stromboli, I rarely get a soggy crust.
